Latrobe Woman To Appear In Court
LATROBE (KDKA) - A Westmoreland County woman, charged in the shooting death of her boyfriend, is set to appear in court today for a hearing.
Earlier this month, police say Lorenza Swiger called 911 after 43-year-old Mark Androstic suffered a gunshot wound to his chest at a home in Latrobe.
According to the criminal complaint, Swiger was hysterical when officers arrived at the home. The document went on to state that while Swiger did not admit to shooting Androstic, she did tell officers that the gun was in her hands when it went off.
Androstic was rushed to Excela Latrobe Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Swiger is facing homicide charges and was being held in the Westmoreland County Jail.
