Longue Vue Club's 18th hole brings perfect ending to your round | The Elite 18
PENN HILLS, Pa. (KDKA) -- No other golf club in Western Pennsylvania can provide sights like the Longue Vue Club and their 18th hole offers a perfect finish to any round.
The Longue Vue Club has both a stunning backdrop and a spectacular layout with some of the best golf holes in the area, especially the Par 4 18th hole.
"When you come to this hole, you're tested on every shot," said Head Golf Professional Brendan King. "There's no letup at any point."
Longue Vue's 18th can play up to 471 yards.
"We think it's one of the best," King said. "You know, it's kind of a perfect way to end the round. It's a good tester. It's a difficult hole, but if you put your ball in the right spot, you can get rewarded, but par is certainly a great score."
An ideal tee shot favors the right side of the fairway, with one of the unique things being the top of the clubhouse peeking over the horizon, with different chimneys available as aiming points.
Precision off of the tee is a must, with shots on the right funneling towards the middle.
Shots that hit the fairway on the right tend to funnel towards the middle and the hole presents a tough second shot approach into a green, which can kick onto the putting surface from the short and right side.
Putts on the green will tend to slide towards the left side and par is a good score, making for a fantastic finish at Longue Vue.
