Local HS Football Game May Be On ESPN
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The talents of Rushel Shell may bring ESPN to the area.
Mike Bires of the Beaver County Times is reporting that ESPN is considering televising the October 14th game vs. Hopewell and Central Valley.
The game would be one of the high school football games that ESPN broadcasts this upcoming season.
The reason ESPN would air this game is because of Shell.
On its list of the top 150 players, ESPN has Shell at No. 23. He's the third-highest ranked running back.
Bires reports that ESPN recently sent a photographer to Hopewell because Shell is expected to be the cover story for ESPN Rise, a magazine for high school athletes.
This televised game isn't official yet but from what I understand, an announcement could come soon.
