Light Turnout Expected On Election Day
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Voters are getting the chance to let their voices be heard on this election day.
However, because it is not a presidential election year, voter turnout is expected to be light.
With judicial and county posts up for grabs, the question is why won't people get out and vote?
"I'm hoping this good weather gets some good turnout going here," D. Raja said.

Election experts predict that nearly 65 percent of registered voters won't be heading to the polls in Pennsylvania today.
"I didn't realize it was election day. I've been away for the last couple weeks," one woman said.
"They just don't care about the candidates. They just don't like any of the candidates. That's my reason, that's why I would think," one man said.
One excuse is normally the weather. Bad weather tends to lead to lower turnout. However, it is a beautiful day in Pittsburgh today.
The real reason most people don't vote is because they don't know anything about who they are voting for. The attitude then becomes one of how it's better to be a non-voter than an uneducated voter.
"That doesn't make any sense to me. You have to read, you have to follow them. It takes time. You have to work at it," one man said.
If you are planning on going out to vote, the polls will remain open until 8 p.m.
