LB Mortty Ivy Talks About Blocked Punt Against Colts
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Steelers Linebacker and former Gateway Gator Mortty Ivy joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about his blocked punt in last night's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Ivy walked us through his blocked punt saying, "I'm supposed to go around the horn, but it didn't work out that way. I got a chance to get close to the punter and just put my left hand out and it connected with my hand."
Mortty claimed he didn't know where the ball was after it hit his hand, but that was fine since he got his job done and made it to the punter.
Ivy also discussed what it's like playing for the Steelers compared to other organization's he's been with, adding that it's all about family with the Steelers, and unlike anywhere else he played.
The real question everyone wants answered though is what this offense will look like in the regular season since they appear to be playing it pretty close in the preseason, and Ivy gave us a small preview of what they've gone up against so far.
