Latrobe Murder Witnesses Recount Shooting Details
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- 20-year-old Zach McGrath and 17-year-olds Colin Gearhart and Austin Krinock faced a preliminay hearing Thursday.
Police say they conspired to rob an alleged drug dealer but ended up shooting 20-year-old Daniel McNerny.
First on the stand was Remington Johnson, who was at 409 St. Clair Street in Latrobe Jan. 20 with his friend Chris Showers.
Showers was the alleged target of the three suspects in a robbery plot.
On the stand, Johnson said he and Showers stood out in front of the home getting ready to leave when a suspect, later identified as Zach McGrath, approached with a gun.
McGrath allegedly said, "Gimme everything you got! Your money, your drugs, everything! You think this is a game? These are my streets! These kids been selling and I want my money!"

Showers told Mcgrath he would go inside to get money. When he returned Dan McNerny was with him.
Remingtont Johnson again testified, recounting what the victim allegedly said.
"I know you, man," McNerny said. "You sound a lot like Zach McGrath and I bet under that mask you look a hell of a lot like Zach McGrath!"
That is when a fight reportedly broke out, McNerny was shot and McGrath took off.
Remington Johnson dragged the bleeding victim inside. He ordered Colin Gearhart to call for help.
Remington johnson testified that Gearhart was angry about calling 911, because there were drugs in the house and he was on probation.
15 minutes passed before emergency crews arrived. In that time Dan McNerny went from conscious and away to unresponsive. He died at an area hospital.
Charges against all three suspects were held for trial.
