Latest Round Of Winter Weather Moves Into Area
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Another round of winter weather made its arrival early Monday morning.
According to Meteorologist Kristin Emery, the first wave of precipitation has started to clear our region from south to north taking the combination of rain, freezing rain, sleet and wet snow with it.
A warm front moving across our area today will change the precipitation to all rain by lunchtime with a break for a few hours mid-morning.
More chilly showers and steady rain for a time will return later this afternoon with the high temperature only reaching 41 degrees.
Below average temperatures will linger all week with highs struggling to reach the mid to upper 30s for the official start of spring on Wednesday.
Dozens of schools around the area are either closed or have delayed openings this morning. CLICK HERE for the complete list.
