Larry Foote Confident Steelers Will Win Division
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - The Larry Foote Show broadcasts live from Monte Cello's as the Steelers linebacker is in a good mood after a big win over his hometown Detroit Lions.
Foote agrees that all the Steelers need to do is get in the playoffs and then anything can happen.
According to Foote, "A play here and a play there" is the difference between an 8-8 record and 12-4.
Foote believes that if they "take care of home first," then the division will belong to the Steelers.
Back in 2005, the team had to win out in order to make it into the playoffs, and once they got on a roll, Foote said they knew nothing was going to stop them.
Foote thinks that the second Wild Card will come out of the AFC North.
If Cleveland manages to get into the playoffs, Larry would be surprised because they haven't been there in a long time, but the Browns' defense is good enough to lead them there.
Foote doesn't believe what Ben Roethlisberger had to say about giving the Steelers a hometown discount.
If a team has a quarterback like Ben, they need to "ride him until the wheels fall off."
