Kurt Warner Talks Steelers' Loss, Ben & Haley Relationship
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)-NFL Network Analyst and former quarterback Kurt Warner joined the guys on The Fan Morning Show on Monday following a crazy Week 14 in the NFL.
Warner said he thought going into this week whoever won this Steelers/Dolphins game was going to get the sixth and final AFC playoff spot because the Baltimore Ravens, who currently hold that spot still have a tough road ahead.
"Whatever you want to call that last play was the final straw," Warner said. "You can't overcome that."
Warner says that losing causes frustration and that is why once again you hear quarterback Ben Roethlisberger point the figure at Todd Haley. He says that he and Todd had success in Arizona and they worked well together, but sometimes it doesn't mesh.
He said the last time he talked to both guys he thought things were going well and growing into a good relationship. If you look at the numbers, they have had success. It just hasn't worked into wins and that is where the frustration comes from.
Warner says he hopes that Ben stays with the Steelers because he deserves to stay and he gives you the best chance to win.
"If they don't keep him, they better not expect to replace him with somebody good," Warner said. "You don't let guys like him go."
