Kurt Angle Working To Save Olympic Wrestling
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Mt. Lebanon native Kurt Angle is no stranger to the Olympics.
The TNA Wrestling star won a gold medal at the Atlanta Games in 1996 in Freestyle and soon after, found himself working for Vince McMahon in what was then the WWF, now WWE.
With the International Olympic Committee's decision to eliminate the sport from the 2020 Summer Games, Angle has taken up the cause to stop that from happening.
Your Olympic Role Model has become very active on Twitter (follow @RealKurtAngle) and other forms of social media to get the word out that fans can help to save the sport from being pinned from Olympic competition.
Angle was a guest on 93.7 The Fan with John Phillips, who not only asked Angle about his efforts to help save the sport from being removed from the Olympics.
Angle also alluded to his pending retirement from pro-wrestling to get back to his amateur roots, while also grappling with a business career in the food industry.
