Kunitz Signs Contract Extension With Pens
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Penguins will be keeping one of their top goal scorers for a few extra years.
The team announced today that they signed forward Chris Kunitz to a two-year contract extension.
The deal, worth an estimated $3.7 million a year, keeps Kunitz with the Pens through the 2013-14 season.
Though he's only tallied one point in the first four games of the season, last season marked a stellar year for the 32-year-old. Kunitz was the team's second highest goal scorer behind Sidney Crosby – putting the puck in the net 23 times.
