Man Found Dead After Beaver Co. Garage Fire

KOPPEL (KDKA) – One man has died as a result of a garage fire in Beaver County early Thursday morning.
According to officials at the scene, the fire broke out in a garage along Fourth Avenue in Koppel around 7 a.m.

"Just sort of thought it was a car wreck. The minute the whistle goes off, everyone thinks it's a car wreck because they call Koppel for the Turnpike," Nancy Smith, a neighbor, said. "I said the rosary for whoever it was. So, hope to God everything was alright."
The victim's identity has not been released. An autopsy is scheduled for this evening.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
