Police Investigating Deadly Shooting In Knoxville
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police continue to investigate a shooting in Knoxville that claimed one man's life late Thursday night.
Police were called to the scene in the 100-block of Jucunda Street around 9:15 p.m. after the victim was shot in his side.
According to police, the 49-year-old victim was shot on the front steps of his mother's house, where he was sitting, drinking a can of beer.
Witnesses reported hearing one gunshot and seeing two black males flee the scene.
The victim was rushed to Mercy Hospital, but was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. He has not yet been identified.
However, his brother tells KDKA the victim was deaf and wasn't bothering anyone. He was known in the neighborhood for doing odd jobs.
Police say they have not made any arrests in the case.
