Two Men Dead, Woman Critical After Murder-Suicide Shooting
KNOXVILLE (KDKA) -- Two men are dead and a woman is in critical condition after a shooting in Knoxville on Saturday night.
It happened around 7:40 p.m. at a home in the 400-block of Bausman Street.
The men have been identified as 46-year-old Christopher Dancy, of Ambridge, and 47-year-old Joseph Goldsmith, of Pittsburgh.
According to police, a 37-year-old woman was in her home with Dancy and her 9-year-old son. Goldsmith, who was the woman's ex-boyfriend, arrived at the home, went inside and fired shots at Dancy and the woman.
Goldsmith then fatally shot himself.
Dancy was killed in the shooting. The woman was shot in the leg and the chest. Police say she was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Two guns were found inside the home. Police believe Goldsmith had both guns on him when he entered the house.
The 9-year-old boy was found unharmed in the basement. He was taken to Children's Hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
The investigation is ongoing.
