Keenan Lewis Leaves Steelers For Saints
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Steelers starting corner Keenan Lewis signed a five-year, $26 million contract with the New Orleans Saints today.
A third round pick in 2009, Lewis started all 16 games with the Steelers last year in his first year as a starter with 71 tackles and 23 passes defended.
"I'm very excited to be able to come back to my hometown," Lewis told NewOrleansSaints.com. "Having grown up here, I understand the passion that the fans have for the Saints and I'm blessed to be able to have the chance to play in front of them here in the future. I am thankful for the time spent with the Pittsburgh Steelers and wish them continued success."
Lewis is the fourth starter to leave since free agency started.
Mike Wallace went to Miami, Arizona signed Rashard Mendenhall, and guard Willie Colon was released.
