Kaboly: Expect Picks To Play Early
PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The Steelers had a lot of perceived needs entering the draft this year.
Fans were clamoring for a pass rusher to replace James Harrison, a running back to replace Rashard Mendenhall and a wide receiver to replace Mike Wallace. The Steelers addressed those vacancies with linebacker Jarvis Jones, running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Markus Wheaton.
"They were picks that they needed, the picks they wanted and they didn't have to stretch for them," Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writer Mark Kaboly told Bob Pompeani. "They did exactly what they wanted to do on day one and two."
But the question is how quickly will the first three picks be able to contribute?
"I think Jarvis Jones jumps in right away and plays, at least in situational downs," Kaboly said.
He added that he wouldn't be shocked to see Bell split time as running back.
