Juvenile Arrested After Larimer Joyride Ends In Crash
LARIMER (KDKA) – A juvenile is facing a list of charges after a joyride ended in a crash in Larimer early Wednesday morning.
According to police, an officer saw a 2011 Honda speed past him on Frankstown Avenue around midnight. Before the officer could pursue the vehicle, it had already crashed into the back of a minivan near the intersection of Broad Street and Frankstown Avenue.
As a result of the crash, the juvenile's vehicle rolled off the road and into a tree.
The driver of the minivan suffered back and neck injuries, but there is no word on their condition at this time.
The juvenile is facing 13 charges related to the incident.
A passenger in the vehicle with the juvenile was not charged. According to police, the juvenile refused to let them get out of the vehicle.
Police are also trying to determine if the vehicle was stolen.
