Juvenile Arrested After Escaping Police Custody
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A juvenile is back in police custody today after escaping this morning and prompting a foot pursuit at a cemetery on Pittsburgh's North Side.
According to Pittsburgh police at the Zone 1 station, the juvenile is accused of assaulting a teacher at Pressley Ridge School.
Officers were called to the school and the juvenile was taken into custody; however, he was able to break free and took off.
Police tracked the juvenile to Highwood Cemetery off of Marshall Avenue.
Officials say there was a foot pursuit before he was found in a wooded area near the cemetery.
It took police about 20 minutes to track down him down.
