Jerry Rice Previews Super Bowl XLV
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice joined the FAN Morning Show to preview Super Bowl XLV.
Rice doesn't expect Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to have Super Bowl jitters. He said the time Rodgers spent as backup to Brett Favre made him a better QB.
Rice said the Steelers have a great defense, but Rodgers will find a way to exploit it and win the game.
However, Rice said that if Ben Roethlisberger wins his third Super Bowl ring, then critics can't keep him out of the conversation as one of the best quarterbacks in the game today.
He said Roethlisberger is such a difficult QB to defend because he is more dangerous outside the pocket and can break away from tackles to make plays with his feet.
Rice is considered by many as the best wide receiver in the history of football and he thinks Hines Ward had a career that will put him in the Hall of Fame.
