Jerricho Cotchery and Carnell Lake Discuss Physicality of the NFL
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Joe Starkey of Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN caught up with Steelers Defensive Backs Coach Carnell Lake, and Wide Receiver Jerricho Cotchery to talk about this weekend's matchup with the Oakland Raiders.
Lake also talked about what it was like growing up in LA, where he watched some of the Raiders secondary and how they intimidated opponents. When it comes to intimidating players in today's game, Lake talked about Steelers Safety Ryan Clark calling him, "the perfect example of Steelers secondary play. He's always ready to play, brings a physical presence to it."
Cotchery talked about what it's like being on the opposite side of the ball playing against the physical guys in the secondary. Jerricho said, "I've always had a mindset of, I wasn't afraid to go across the middle."
Cotchery added that he has seen guys that have made it in the NFL, but don't want any part of the physical nature of the game.
