Jason Grilli Enjoying His Time In Spring Training
BRADENTON, Fla. (93.7 THE FAN)-- Jason Grilli signed a contract extension and has been named the closer of the Pirates for the 2013 season. He joined the Fan Morning Show live in Bradenton, Fla. on Monday morning.
Jason got his first win in the Grapefruit League under his belt yesterday. He said that he is feeling really good vibes around camp, and is looking forward to moving forward with the group of guys that they have.
Jason tells the guys that his work is always appreciated, but deflects a lot of the praise to the guys that pitch in front of him.
We also get an idea of what VORP is and how he thinks that it means Very Over Rated Player. He also clears the air about the comments that were taken out of context by a national columnist.
Finally, Jason's hair is so overgrown that he tells the guys he is going for a look of a famous character in "Star Wars."
