Investigation Continues In Fatal I-79 Crash
WEXFORD (KDKA) - Police are investigating after two people were killed in a car accident on Interstate 79 Sunday afternoon.
It is believed that a teenage driver may have been trying to avoid some debris in the road when the vehicle went out of control.
Police said no one was taking a chance behind the wheel and that this was simply an accident.
The accident happened just before the Wexford Exit in Franklin Park around 1:30 p.m.
Jackie Kennedy, 18, and Connor Johnson, 21, of Baden were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Kennedy worked at the Eat 'N Park in Cranberry Township with her two sisters.
Restaurant management said she was the best young employee any restaurant or any business could ever have. They also said she was mature and that she cared.
Kennedy was set to graduate from Ambridge High School in June.
Her 16-year-old sister, Madie, also attends the school and suffered serious injuries in the crash.
The name and condition of the fourth victim has not been released.
Students are Ambridge High School wore blue today to honor Jackie.
