Inmate Dies At Allegheny County Jail

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police are investigating the death of an inmate.

Corrections officers at the facility found 68-year-old Alfred Cox unresponsive just before 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

According to a spokesperson, the officers performed CPR on Cox until medics arrived.

When medics arrived about 20 minutes later, Cox was pronounced dead.

The cause of death has not been determined.
