Injured Franklin Regional Students Continue To Improve
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Thursday marked the second day of classes for Franklin Regional High School students in Murrysville following last week's stabbings.
Students and staff seem to be taking it one day at a time. One teacher described the feeling inside the high school as being "easier than yesterday."
The Franklin Regional School District says therapy dogs are very busy and enjoying the company of students.
Otherwise, the district described the day as "typical."
Meanwhile, four students are still hospitalized.
Derek Jones is now off a ventilator, according to a tweet by his sister Thursday.
Greg Keener's sister tweeted that he was able to walk for the first time.
Connor Warwick's family says he suffered injuries to his gall bladder, liver, stomach and pancreas, but doctors have been able to repair most of the damage.
Finally, Jared Boger, who has undergone multiple surgeries, was upgraded to fair condition on Thursday.
