I-70 Closed For Several Hours After Tractor Trailer Crashes

WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -- A section of I-70 in Washington County was shut down for several hours after a tractor trailer crashed Thursday afternoon.
Washington State Police say a tractor trailer crashed on I-70 eastbound near the Bentleyville exit around 3:45 p.m.
According to state police, the trailer part of the vehicle went off the roadway and went over a hillside. The driver was trapped in his seat as the truck became stuck in a creek.
The truck driver was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition is unknown.
Eastbound lanes between Exits 25 (Eighty-Four) and Exit 32 (Ginger Hill) and the Exit 27 and Exit 31 ramps were closed while crews cleared the scene.
One lane was re-open around 9:40 p.m.
