Hurricane Sandy Brings East Coast Travel To A Halt
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Plane, train and bus transportation all along the east coast was brought to a grinding halt as Hurricane Sandy closed in on the United States.
The last Megabus heading for Philadelphia left Pittsburgh around 11:05 a.m. and it is likely to be the last bus heading to the northeast for a while.
Passengers on that bus told KDKA-TV's Harold Hayes they were lucky they made that bus.
Meanwhile, at the Greyhound station, some passengers weren't so lucky.
Passengers hoping to travel to New York, Harrisburg and Philadelphia have been told they may not be able to travel until Thursday.
