Hottest Social Media Craze Allows Users To Share Short Videos
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Have you heard of Vine?
Twitter launched the video-sharing app in January, and it has quickly become the hottest, new social media craze.
If you think limiting your Tweets to 140 characters is difficult, imagine getting your point across in a six-second video. That's exactly what Vine does.
Each video is posted on an endless loop to your Twitter account.
Everyone's using it, from everyday Tweeters to advertisers.
Actor Adam Goldberg has a whole soap opera series on Vine. Each episode is just six seconds.
Even the Tribeca Film Festival is letting Vine users vie for their shot at six seconds of glory with a competition for Best Vine Video.
The beauty of all this is that you don't need to be a trained photographer or a techie to create a video on Vine. There's no filters, no editing and it's all user-friendly.
Right now, Vine is only a big hit in the U.S. It hasn't gone global, just yet.
Also, there is no version of the app for Android phones.
