2 People Dead Following Shooting In Homewood
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two people are dead following a shooting in Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood.
The victims were found Wednesday night on Kelly Street near Collier Street.
Police officers were called to the scene by a ShotSpotter alert around 10:40 a.m.
The male victim was found lying next to a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman, who was also shot, was found in the street. She was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. Early Thursday morning, a police spokesman confirmed she later died from her injuries.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identifies her as 26-year-old Kierra Harris of McKees Rocks.
A heavy police presence gathered Wednesday night at the scene.
Investigators were seen checking out a black Volkswagen. It appears the passenger-side window was shattered.
There are no suspects, and police are investigating.
