Highland Park Bridge ramp to northbound Route 28 set to reopen
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Highland Park Bridge ramp to northbound Route 28 is set to reopen.
The busy corridor for commuters in Aspinwall was set to open Wednesday at 4 p.m., but PennDOT said an equipment issue will push the reopening back to 6 p.m.
The ramp has been closed since March as crews worked on the bridge and drainage systems.
The closure was part of a $47 million project to address the bottleneck on Route 28 at the Highland Park Bridge, opening it up to two travel lanes.
The project, which started in 2020, is expected to be done late next year.
