Heyward On Ray Rice Taking Terrible Towel: "Shows He Just Wants To Be A Steeler"
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN to talk about this week's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
We opened things up with Heyward giving the latest update on what he saw from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in practice today. Heyward said Big Ben went through practice and that it's his call as to whether or not he plays.
When it came to discussing the year he is having, Heyward referred to himself as a "work in progress," but "the sky is the limit" for him.
We also talked about the performance of the defense as a whole, and Heyward said they're right around the corner from making those splash plays that they've been known for in the past.
Heyward weighed in with his thoughts on Ravens' running back Ray Rice wearing a Terrible Towel off the field the last time the Steelers and Ravens met, and Heyward said it "shows he just wants to be a Steeler."
We wrapped things up with Heyward asking him if he has lived up to his own expectations since coming into the league.
