Health Department Issues Warning About Contaminated Raw Milk
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There's a new warning about raw milk.
It could be contaminated with bacteria.
Officials with the Allegheny County Health Department are urging anyone with raw milk produced by "Your Family Farmer" in Chambersburg, Franklin County, to throw it out.

It's sold under "The Family Cow" label at several locations in Allegheny County.
Those locations include:
- East End Food Co-op in Point Breeze
As well as five drop-off points throughout Allegheny County:
- McKnight Road in Ross Township: Parking lot beside Jo Ann Fabrics
- Bethel Park: Parking lot behind Tony's Auto Center and South Hills Church of Nazarene
- Swissvale: Getz Memorial Park
- Green Tree: Parking lot of Beth El Congregation
- Pittsburgh Mills: Wal-Mart parking lot
Health officials say they confirmed five cases of Campylobacter infection in people who consumed the raw milk.
According to health officials, people who become sick from Campylobacter have diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain and fever two to five days after exposure. The symptoms usually last about a week.
Young children, the elderly and those with medical conditions are at risk for complications. And anyone with prolonged symptoms are urged to call their doctor.
The dairy farm has stopped production for now.
