2-Vehicle Crash In Hampton Twp. Kills One Man, Injures Another
HAMPTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police are investigating after a two-vehicle crash sent two people to the hospital, where one victim died, this afternoon in Hampton Township.
According to police, the crash happened just after 1:30 p.m. in the area of Route 8 and Mount Royal Boulevard.
Both drivers were taken to local hospitals. A 77-year-old man who was in a minivan died at the hospital. He was later identified as Raymond Anderson.
The other man involved, a 35-year-old driving a BMW, is in stable condition.
They were the sole occupants of each vehicle, police said.

Investigators say the BMW was traveling south on Route 8 when a witness reported the 35-year-old driving erratically. Police say he then crossed the center line and struck the minivan driven by the 77-year-old at a high rate of speed.
Police say investigators will consult with the DA's office to see if any charges are warranted.
