Guide To Heinz Field

Heinz Field is a newer addition to Pittsburgh's North Shore and is home to the six-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. The venue hosts Steelers games, Pitt football games, and concerts alike. If you've never been to the stadium and are looking for what you need to know for your first visit, here's a guide that will point you in the right direction!

Parking:
There are numerous parking lots that are open for event parking, including Steelers games, Pitt games, and concerts.

If interested in parking downtown, there are many event parking garages.

Seating:

If trying to find your seat among in the 65,050 capacity stadium sounds like a daunting task, find your seat before you arrive by looking at the stadium's seating chart.

Concessions/Retail Stores

Heinz Field is home to a variety of foods that offer something for everybody. There are 47 concession stands throughout the arena, so there is always something close to your seats to grab a bite to eat. There are also seven different retail stores and 15 different novelty stands in the arena. If you're looking for something to help support your team, Heinz Field has got you covered.

Ticket Information:

While season tickets for the Steelers are sold out, tickets can be sold by ticket holders and purchased by the general public on the NFL Ticket Exchange.

Tickets for Pitt football games may be purchased for individual games only at Ticketmaster.

Security:

Heinz Field enforces a strict security policy for all patrons attending events held at the stadium.

Guests are not allowed to bring the following items into Heinz Field:

  • Alcoholic beverages of any kind
  • Coolers, thermoses, bottles, cans, flasks
  • Large purses, backpacks. bags. strollers
  • Laser pointers. weapons, noisemakers
  • Professional cameras, tripods, audio or video recording equipment
  • Offensive apparel

Group Tours:

If you are from out of town, or if you are a Pittsburgher interested in Heinz Field, open tours are available for groups with 10 or more people and must be scheduled three weeks in advance.

The tours are about 90 minutes in length and run between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. between the months of April and October.

Just For Kids:

There are four different Steelers Kid's Club options for your child. Once the yearly membership is paid, your child will receive a package in the mail that is full of Steelers fan gear! Items vary depending upon which fan package you choose, and vary in price between $19.95 and $49.95 plus shipping and handling.
