Greg Romeus/NFL Draft News
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Despite having a disappointing senior season, Pitt defensive end Greg Romeus is getting plenty of attention as NFL teams prepare for the 2011 NFL Draft.
Yesterday, Romeus visited the New England Patriots and today he's in Miami with the Dolphins.
Romeus had a nightmare senior season suffering thru a herniated disc in his back and then tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The 6-5, 265 pounder had a strong Pro Day bench pressing 225 pounds 24 times.
Romeus decided to come back for his senior season after being told by the NFL Advisory Committe that he was a projected 3rd round pick.
In his first three seasons as a Panther, Romeus recorded 19.5 sacks.
Aside from Romeus, a number of Pitt Panthers are expected to get drafted including Jabaal Sheard, Dion Lewis, Jon Baldwin, Henry Hynoski, Jason Pinkston and Dom DeCicco.
