Greensburg HS Students Help Victims On Site Of Fatal Accident
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A typical drive to school turned out to be anything but that for two students at Greensburg Salem High School when they came upon a fatal accident.
It occurred on Route 819 in Salem Township on the morning of March 14 when 17-year-old Nola Ries and 18-year-old Hannah Gabriel sprang into action. Both are students at Greensburg Salem High School.
That morning just after 7 a.m., police said 25-year-old motorcyclist Ryan Marshall slammed into the side of an SUV driven by 43-year-old Regis Clark.
Marshall was dead at the scene.
Ries and Gabriel kept Clark calm, talking to him until paramedics arrived.
When Clark was released from the hospital, the girls took flowers, balloons and cards to his home. They said he kept apologizing because he could not remember them or the accident.
Ries and Gabriel told him it was okay, and that they just wanted to make sure he was okay.
