Gov. Corbett Orders Flags At Half-Staff In Honor Of Sen. Arlen Specter
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Gov. Tom Corbett has ordered all flags to half-staff in honor of the late Sen. Arlen Specter.
Specter died on Sunday at his home in Philadelphia after a battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
For most of his 30 years in office, Specter was a moderate Republican.
Specter had overcome a number of serious health problems in the past, including two bouts with lymphatic cancer, a brain tumor and bypass surgery.
His funeral will be held Tuesday in Penn Valley, near Philadelphia.
