Gov. Corbett Discusses Lawsuit Against NCAA
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Gov. Tom Corbett has been involved with the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal since 2009, when investigations began. Now, he is going after the NCAA for all the sanctions brought down against Penn State University.
Corbett is suing the NCAA on behalf of the people of Pennsylvania under the terms that their sanctions are "overreaching and unlawful."
Gov. Corbett joined Larry and John on the Morning Show to talk about the lawsuit and why he felt he need to file it.
Corbett tells KDKA that he feels the NCAA rushed to judgment based on the Freeh Report, which he calls "not a complete report."
Corbett calls for the NCAA to follow their own guidelines for punishments and to take a second look at the penalties they brought toward Penn State.
