Giant Eagle Recalls Canned Pumpkin
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- An important consumer warning for you tonight could affect a lot of Thanksgiving dinners.
Giant Eagle has recalled two brands of canned pumpkin - Valu-Time canned pumpkin sold on or after August 30 and all Food Club canned pumpkin sold on or after October 28. They are produced by Topco Associates, LLC.
Giant Eagle says there is no immediate health concern, but the product does not meet quality standards and should not be eaten.
"Customers are invited to receive a full refund, complimentary pie, or replacement ingredients, from any area Giant Eagle, Inc. supermarket," Giant Eagle said in a statement.
Giant Eagle says it is working with its national supplier to investigate further.
