Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations In Oakland
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A building in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood was evacuated this afternoon over a natural gas leak.
It happened at the intersection of Halket Street and Fifth Avenue.
According to Equitable Gas, contractors damaged the three-inch main line causing the leak.
Crews shut off the gas and repairs are expected to be complete within a few hours.
Emergency officials say no one is sick and no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
