Game 16: Bruins Vs. Penguins Game Notes
The Pittsburgh Penguins return home after going 2-2 on a four-game road trip. They are coming off a 4-3 shootout win over the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday night.
Here's some notes about tonight's matchup with the Boston Bruins (7-3-1-15 points):
*Great goaltending matchup tonight as the Penguins host Boston. Brent Johnson (6-1-1, 1.62 GAA) will take on Tim Thomas (7-0-0, 1.04 GAA). Thomas is rebounding nicely following a sub-par 2009 season.
*The Pens made a minor roster move this morning by recalling winger Chris Conner. This was done because Mike Comrie has been bothered by the flu and is questionable for tonight.
Here were the line combinations at the morning skate:
Chris Kunitz - Sidney Crosby - Pascal Dupuis
Mike Rupp - Mark Letestu - Tyler Kennedy
Matt Cooke - Evgeni Malkin - Arron Asham
Max Talbot - Craig Adams - Eric Godard
*The Pens are making one change on the blue line. Ben Lovejoy will replace Deryk Engelland in the lineup. In the 11 games this season, Lovejoy has recorded two points and is a +4.
