Furry Tails: Searching For A Forever Home (9/14)
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!
Lime
Animal Rescue League
Loving and sweet, Lime is waiting for her forever family at the Animal Rescue League. Rescued from a case of animal abuse, Lime needs a special home, her first home ever, where she would have lots of love, care, and, of course, someone to cuddle with!
Animal Rescue League says:
"Lime is a beautiful 2-year-old female Terrier/Pit Mix. She found her way to the Animal Rescue League after she was rescued from an extreme case of cruelty and abuse. She has never lived inside a home. The poor girl lived her life on a chain with a lot of other dogs around. For this reason, new sounds and objects can be a bit scary at first. An ideal home for Lime would be one with no small children, preferably a home that currently has no other dogs, and an owner who is willing to be patient with her and give her a lot of loving! One thing she does know is how to give love! She is very sweet, and loves to snuggle and cuddle. She has been at the shelter for a few months where a group of dedicated volunteers and staff members have been showing her the world and helping her adjust to all of the new surroundings. Her beautiful eyes are even prettier in person! She wants nothing more than to for the first time in her life to relax inside a nice, warm loving home. If you are interested in Lime, please contact her friend Mary at at the Animal Rescue League at this email: mary_withrow@hotmail.com."

Vinnie
Western Pennsylvania Humane Society
The Western Pennsylvania Humane Society describes Vinnie as exuberant, frisky and good-natured. Handsome and somewhere around 1-year-old, this former stray is hoping to find a family that's as fun-loving as he is!
Western Pa. Humane Society says:
"I'm a happy, curious boy who loves being around humans! I really like to play, and am an active guy who enjoys daily walks. I'm also dog-friendly and should do well with other canine friends; however, a meet and greet is a must before I get adopted. Because I'm very intelligent and lively, obedience training classes, included in my adoption fee, are mandatory for success in my new home. Please come down to the North Shore shelter to meet me today! I can't wait to move into my forever home, and am hoping my new family will be as fun-loving as I am!"

Skow
Animal Friends
If you're looking to add a laid-back furry friend to your family, Skow might just be the guy for you! This sweet black cat is waiting patiently at Animal Friends for his forever family to come scoop him and give him some love.
Animal Friends says:
"Skow was living as a lonely stray when a kind family decided to offer him temporary care and shelter. During their time with him, they found him to be a personable and polite cat that was well-behaved around kids, dogs and other felines. Today, Skow lives in a free-roam room with other cats. He greets people when they enter and quickly settles down for a good scratch. He'll nuzzle into your hand when you pet him. He also likes leaping around the room and entertaining himself with toys. Skow is a young, easy-going guy who's ready to move in!

Bradick
Animal Friends
Bradick is an older guy still looking for a loving, forever home where he can relax and give out lots of wet kisses! Sociable and gentle, this guy is waiting at Animal Friends for a family to open their home to him.
Animal Friends says:
"Bradick is a joyful and mature gentleman. He is 12 years young and would love short jaunty walks and a comfortable place to relax. Bradick is very social, gentle and people-oriented. He is too big to be a lap dog, but he would have been if he had been born a Chihuahua! He is very happy and welcoming! Bradick has stiff joints and will most likely be on a supplement called Glyco-flex for the rest of his life. This kind, old soul needs a home that is calm and relaxed with no other dogs and kids aged 10 and up. He will politely share a home with cats. If you feel that you are looking for an older gentleman to open your home to, Bradick is your man! Someone believes in him so much, that they have sponsored Bradick's adoption. He is truly priceless!"
