Furry Tails: Searching For A Forever Home (12/28)
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!
Sandy
Animal Friends
Silly Sandy is waiting for a forever family that will love and look after her! She is a pup that needs special care for epilepsy, but this ball of fun wants to play with toys and go on walks just like any other dog!
Animal Friends says:
"Sandy is a beautiful energetic young lady who got a second chance thanks to Animal Friends' Liberation Day Rescue. Every year, thousands of pets are lost with no tags, license, microchip, or any way to link them back to a family. When no one claimed Sandy from Animal Control, she feared for the worst…but thankfully, on Liberation Day, Animal Friends' volunteers scooped her up to wait for her forever home!
"Animal Friends worked hard to make the Liberation Day Rescue an opportunity to save pets like Sandy, educate the community about the importance of licensing pets, and honor the men, women and canines who serve in the military. We even gave her a themed name! At Animal Friends we spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and behaviorally evaluated Sandy and now she is ready for adoption!
"This wiggly little lady has been playful and appropriate with other dogs, so we invite you to bring your dog in to meet her and see if they get along. She enjoys walks, rides in the car, toys, and treats!
"Sandy is being treated for epilepsy and currently takes anti-seizure medication. She will need medication for the rest of her life as well as regular loving care. Animal Friends has also had her examined by a neurologist who has determined that she has some visual deficits and is consequently a little clumsy. It is adorable, but we think she may prefer a limited number of stairs so she appears more graceful.
"If you are looking for a silly, lovable girl like Sandy to join your loving family, please call or come down to Animal Friends today to talk to an Adoption Counselor!"
