Furry Tails: Searching For A Forever Home (10/7)
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!
Lolly
Animal Rescue League
Looking to bring a furry ball of excitement into your home? Well, Lolly could be just the girl for you! This energetic girl loves to play and is looking for a forever family that will keep her active and on-the-go!
Animal Rescue League says:
"This 2-year-old ball of energy is Lolly! Lolly came to the Animal Rescue League as a stray back in June so we have gotten to know her fairly well since she has been with us for three months. This volunteer favorite LOVES to play with toys, especially balls (of all sizes!) and rope toys! Given her energy level, Lolly would enjoy and do best in an active household that will offer her plenty of exercise, play-time and training. We recently discovered that she is an excellent running partner, too (although she does like to chase the occasional squirrel)! She would definitely benefit from some basic obedience classes as well. Lolly likes other dogs, but can play very rough so may do best in a home without other canines. She's not all that much into cats, either, so would prefer a feline-free home. If you are looking for a fun-loving girl to add some excitement and smiles to your life, stop down to meet her soon!"

Juliet
Animal Friends
This beautiful, intelligent and outdoorsy girl is a survivor! After at months living in a cemetery all alone with a severe leg injury no less, she's looking for a family to call her own that will keep her safe and give her lots of love!

"Juliet, a 3-year-old Siberian Husky, is one of the most intelligent dogs we've ever met. She used that intelligence to survive on her own in a cemetery -- with a broken leg -- for at least nine months!
"Juliet evaded capture for almost a year before she became sick enough to allow herself to be caught. Now healthy and safe at Animal Friends, Juliet has made friends, both canine and human, but seems to really enjoy being around other friendly, playful dogs. She loves to play and relax with other canines. Juliet would like to go home with another dog -- the friendlier and more social, the better!
"As a result of her life on the run, Juliet lives with a lot of fear and must go home with people who will keep her extra safe. Because she bolts when frightened, Juliet should never be left alone outside. She also needs a home with no young children who might leave a door or gate open.

Western Pennsylvania Humane Society
No, not "The Great Gatsby!" This guy is known as the Great Catsby, and he's waiting for his forever family at the Western Pa. Humane Society right now! This sweet boy may have a taste for the finer things in life, but what he's really looking for is lots and lots of love!
Western Pa. Humane Society says:
"Three words to best describe my personality would be... sweet, loving, easygoing! My ideal day would consist of being loved. I just can't get enough attention from anybody.
"I am a sweet boy just looking for my new forever loving home. I should do well in most households. I prefer that if there are children under the age of 12 to please come in and meet me first. I should do well with other animals. Please ask a staff member how to properly introduce me to them. Come to the shelter and meet me today!"
