Furry Tails: Sammy, Stella & Kitty Renee Are Searching For Good Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Sammy
Animal Friends
Sammy may have lost his eyesight, but he's got lots of love to give. This sweet pup needs a forever family who loves to cuddle!
Animal Friends Pet Profile:
Sweet shaggy-haired Sammy is a friendly guy who can be best described as 'cuddle-icious'! It's impossible to resist cradling and hugging this gentle little boy.
Sammy requires a bit of extra attention and care because he is blind. But he doesn't let his handicap get him down or stand in the way of getting out and about. Sammy has been to several off-site shelter events and was quite successful at working the crowd!
Because Sammy is a special needs dog, he would be best suited to live in an adult-only home. Could it be yours?
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Stella
Animal Rescue League
Found as a stray, Stella is looking for a forever family who will give her lots of her favorite thing… belly rubs!
Animal Rescue League Pet Profile:
They don't come sweeter than 6-year-old Stella. She is also very unique in that she is a female orange tabby. Unfortunately, sweet Stella was on her own prior to coming to the ARL as a stray. She lost a lot of hair due to dermatitis which was caused by fleas and she is only now beginning to grow her hair back in. Other than being a bit bald, however, Stella is perfectly healthy and waiting for her forever home you're your looking to adopt Stella, you should be ready for a lap cat mixed in with a bit of canine because we have never seen a cat that likes her belly scratched quite as much as Stella!
If you're interested in adopting Stella, call the ARL Cat Adoption Center at 412-345-7300 x332.

Kitty Renee
Western Pa. Humane Society
She's the cat's meow! Renee is a kitty looking to start over in a loving home with a family who will give her lots of attention!
Humane Society's Pet Profile:
Kitty Renee is a 2-year-old cat who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Reportedly, Kitty Renee was not adjusting well to the new baby in the home. She is very outgoing and likes to talk a lot. The staff and volunteers at the shelter have found that she is very vocal, especially when she is looking for attention!
Kitty Renee seems timid around children. So she would do best in a home with teens or adults only. Also, she would prefer to be an only pet. Fortunately, she is known to have very good litterbox habits! Kitty Renee has a habit of eating her toys, so she can no longer be trusted around them or small things that can fit into her mouth.
Don't you agree that Kitty Renee is beautiful? If you think that she would fit well into your home, please come down to the Western PA Humane Society and meet her today!
