Furry Tails: Ricardo & Cyrus Are Searching For Good Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Ricardo
Animal Friends
Don't let this little guy fool you, Ricardo's got a big personality! And he needs a good home where he can let his spunky energy shine through!
Animal Friends says:
This little guy is friendly, "Chihuahua-feisty" and fun-loving. Ricardo sometimes plays the "tough guy" role, but he'll warm up to you with some time and shower you with kisses. He loves to interact, play, and be petted.
Ricardo is a great example of a small dog with a personality that defies his small size.
He would like to have all of his new family's attention, so he'd prefer to go to an adult-only home where he's the only pet. Come meet this sassy guy today!

Cyrus Rock
Animal Rescue League
Cyrus is handsome guy in need of a strong, patient and caring family! He loves to play, go for walks and will warm your heart with cuddles! The big lug!
Animal Rescue League says:
Cyrus is a handsome 3yr Rottie whose owner did not have the time to take care of a dog. Cyrus is friendly with people and children and did live with kids in his last home -- but due to the food guarding instincts of this breed, we do not recommend him to a home with small children. He's considered house-trained though it's always a good idea to reinforce that training after a dog has been in a shelter environment.
Cyrus is large for a Rottie, weighing 93 pounds. He's also a very strong dog and we advise walking him with a harness as well as providing further training on leash walking. Since he's been at the shelter, volunteers have commented on how sweet and cuddly he is! His former owner indicated that Cyrus enjoys walks, playing in water, going for rides and playing with toys. He knows 'sit' and possibly other commands too.
Because of his size and breed, we are looking for someone with prior dog experience to adopt him.
