Furry Tails: Dot & Janet Are Waiting For Forever Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Dot
Animals Friends
She's pretty, she's smart and she just loves to have fun! Dot needs a home with a loving family, not just for the holidays, but fur-ever!
Animal Friends Pet Profile:
Dot is a high energy Australian Shepherd with a very social personality! She will play with you for hours if you let her! Dot spent much of her previous life outside, so she will need a patient family to teach her how to live in a home. She is very intelligent, so we're sure she'll pick it up quickly. Dot would prefer to be the only animal in the home. If you are looking for a sweetheart with a ton of energy, look no further than this beautiful girl.
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Janet
Animals Rescue League
Just look at that curious face, long whiskers and big green eyes! Janet has never had a true home, but there's still plenty of time for this kitty to find her loving forever family!
Animal Rescue League Pet Profile:
Janet is an 8-year-old former feral feline who showed up on the porch of an Animal Rescue League staff member nearly one year ago. Although this kitty was initially only interested in food and was suspicious of human interaction, the staff member worked diligently to tame Janet of her wild ways. After months of trust building, a brand new Janet emerged and she is now ready to find the home that she always deserved. This girl's favorite activity is to sit on the lap of her human and be petted. In fact, if she had her way, she would sit on her human's shoulder! Janet is still learning some manners and can get a bit overstimulated at times, but she just needs a human with a calm and understanding approach. She's also met other cats and would likely get along with other felines, provided that they aren't too dominant. If Janet sounds like the purrfect addition to your home and family, stop in to meet her at the ARL's off-site adoption location at Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital. And if you've got questions about this sweet cat, email lhahn@animalrescue.org.
