Furry Tails: Cutie, Shabock & Daisy Are Waiting For Forever Homes

Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Cutie

Animal Friends

Cutie is a little shy, but as you can see from her shelter photo, she's getting ready for her closeup! She and her floppy ears would love a forever family!

Animal Friends Pet Profile:
Cutie was brought to Animal Friends because her owner decided she no longer wanted to have bunnies. She is a beautiful bunny with some awesomely floppy ears! Cutie is still very nervous around people she does not know, but she is slowly progressing into a wonderful bunny. She needs a patient home with a family who will gradually introduce her to a new, loving life. If you are ready to see a bunny come out of its shell, talk to an Adoption Counselor today about meeting Cutie!

If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Shabock

Animal Rescue League

This lovable lug is Shabock! He's smart, handsome and has lots of energy... what else could you want in a pet! But there's one thing he doesn't have and really, really needs, a loving family to spoil him!

Animal Rescue League's Pet Profile:
How do you spell fun? S-h-a-b-o-c-k! This handsome pup is always ready to play games and have a good time! Shabock is a smart pup who will sit for a treat. He is reported to be house trained and crate trained, and we hope this will transition quickly to his new home. Shabock is very affectionate and his favorite thing is to be petted! He makes friends easily and greets them with love and excitement! Shabock lived with another dog in the past, so he might make a great second canine!

For more information on the other adoptable animals at the shelter, visit www.animalrescue.org. The Animal Rescue League is located at 6620 Hamilton Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Daisy

Western Pa. Humane Society

Of all the kitties at the Western Pa. Humane Society, Daisy has been there the longest. And that's precisely the reason why she needs a loving forever family. Could you provide her with a good home?

Western Pa. Humane Society Pet Profile:
Hello, my name is Daisy! I am a 3-year-old brown tabby and white domestic longhair. I came to the shelter because my owner got very ill. I would like to be the ONLY CAT in my new home. I need a nice, adults-only home. I also require special food, that I must stay on. Please ask the staff about my food needs.

Furry Tails Follow Ups!

Featured Jan. 16, 2015: Coop the pot-bellied pig, once known as Coco, has found an amazing forever home at Highlands Springs Farm & Barn With Inn in West Virginia! He's become the star of their Facebook page!

His adopters say: "He's become a very important part of our family in a short time. Would have loved seeing him as a baby."

He's made our farm his home. Still much to explore and I think our B&B guests will find him adorable.
