Furry Tails: Coco, Diesel & Alexie Are Waiting For Forever Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Coco
Animal Rescue League
This little piggy needs a good home! Coco is a special guy with lots of love to give! He's the first pig ever featured on Furry Tails, and just like all the other animals here… he deserves a forever family!
Animal Rescue League Pet Profile:
Coco is a big 1-year-old pig with an even bigger heart. He finds himself at our shelter after his previous owner could no longer afford him. This guy spent some time with a foster family, who tell us that they thoroughly enjoyed his company. They helped him get to a healthier weight and, once he was lighter on his feet, he was trotting around the house! He seemed to prefer the lady of the house and followed his foster mom everywhere. Coco is young and willful, so he would benefit from an experienced and knowledgeable foster or adopter. He is currently at the Animal Rescue League Shelter in the dog kennel area, but sure is missing the calm and comforts of a home. Look into this handsome guy's eyes… he looks like saying, "I'd really love to go home!" That's just what Diesel needs, a forever family – someone to teach him, someone to give him love, and most of all someone to play a good game of fetch with!

Hi there, my name is Diesel. I'm a young, energetic dog, and the shelter staff thinks I may not be able to hear as well as I should! Please don't let that stop you from thinking about taking me into your home. I love to play fetch, especially with balls that are super bouncy!! Sometimes I will play my own version of doggie soccer with the ball! I know basic commands, I love treats and if you adopt me I have to go to training classes to help me with my "manners" - whatever that is. Anyway, come down and meet me, I need to be with adults because of my energy level and size. Please come on down and meet me.

Alexie
Animal Friends
This adorable, long-eared girl is a little shy but loves to play! She needs a good family that will give her lots of love!

Alexie is a happy girl who can always be seen doing jumps and dances. Alexie is an absolutely lovely lady who enjoys interacting with both people and other buns.
Though a little timid with new people at first, Alexie warms up quickly and then will accept affection from anyone with a willing hand – or two – to give her a little scratch behind the ears. Alexie could easily live in a home with other rabbits or she'd be just as content to romp around on her own.
Alexie is also a part of our Mission: Adoptable program! This means her adoption donation has been waived and her forever family will receive special counseling and a package, complete with all the items you'll need to make a smooth transition from shelter to your home.
