Furry Tails: Carlita, Gigi & Sterling Are Waiting For Forever Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Carlita
Animal Friends
Yes, Carlita has an eye injury, but no, it does not affect her ability to love! This former stray really needs a caring and kind family to give her the forever home she deserves!
Animal Friends Pet Profile:
This little lady was found as an injured stray by a Good Samaritan during the winter months. She is looking for a home where she would be the only cat. Her eye injury may require daily drops but it doesn't seem to bother her otherwise and with regular vet check-ups, is a small thing to overlook for the love Carlita will give back to you in return! She is a sweet little girl and enjoys attention. Are you looking for a companion? One that may light up your life? Look no further. Carlita may be just the girl for you.
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Gigi
Animal Rescue League
Gigi too is suffering from eye issues, but this girl would love to cuddle with you on cold winter nights… and warm summer ones as well! This snuggle bug needs a forever family.
Animal Rescue League Pet Profile:
Lovely Gigi was brought to our shelter at the beginning of February after she was found roaming the streets of West Mifflin. During her time with us, this girl has become a staff and volunteer favorite. She's a bit shy and hides under the blanket in her cage, but will immediately start purring as soon as she is picked up. A total lap cat, Gigi is blind in her left eye, but seems to be very trusting of the humans around her. She needs a quiet, gentle family who will snuggle up and show her the love that she's always deserved. Well, that and provide treats! If Gigi sounds like the purrfect fit for your household, contact the ARL's Cat Adoption Center at 412-345-7300 x332.
For more information on the other adoptable animals at the shelter, visit www.animalrescue.org. The Animal Rescue League is located at 6620 Hamilton Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pa.
