Furry Tails: Buck & Sheba Are Waiting For Forever Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Sheba
Animal Rescue League
Sheba is a queen without a castle! This little, regal, beautiful lady would love to be the center of attention at your home!
Animal Rescue League Pet Profile:
Look into my eyes, my gorgeous green eyes... Have you ever seen such a beauty? They even named a cat food brand after me (ok, maybe that wasn't really me but I'd like to think it was)! Like my namesake, I am a regal lady who has many gifts to give and knows what she wants. I was in a foster home for a while (I didn't like the cages at the shelter one bit) and quickly won over my foster mom. Now I'm finally settled in at the shelter in a colony room and I have won over the volunteers and staff with my looks and charm. I love to be brushed and pet and will run figure eights between your legs for attention. If you let me, I'll sit on your lap and knead your legs as you give me chin and ear scratches. And I'll purr and purr. Sometimes I'll even chirp! Of course, when I'm done being pet I'll definitely let you know; remember- I know what I want! I also enjoy playing with wand toys (cat dancer toys are pretty neat) and watching all the goings-on outside the window.
I think I could do well with cat-savvy children and I may be okay with another cat who will ignore me and give me my space (I AM a queen after all!). I have been looking for a home for over a year now. Please don't pass me over because of my age. I have a lot of love to still give and you won't find a lady with my personality anywhere in the world!
If you are interested in Sheba, please contact swellington@animalrescue.org or kparis@animalrescue.org, call 412-345-7300 x215 or stop by the shelter soon!
